Danielle C ( Instructors Team )
PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer - Scuba Diving since 2016
Danielle is a New Jersey native who has a BSc in Zoology from Kent State University and an MSc in Marine Conservation from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. Her dive career started in the Philippines, where she volunteered for a marine conservation NGO, focused on establishing marine protected areas. During her stay, she attained her Divemaster and inevitably fell in love with the ocean and the intrinsic role it plays to all life on earth.
Fueled by her new-found passion for protecting our oceans and their inhabitants, she returned to the states and interned at Mystic Aquarium in their research department. There, she evaluated the top 50 imported marine ornamental fishes into the United States to target for aquaculture as a sustainable alternative to wild harvesting.
Afterward, she jumped at the opportunity to work in Madagascar for an NGO dedicated to growing coral in their offshore nurseries and cultivate working relationships with the local fisherman to create sustainable changes that safeguarded the marine environment.
Inspired by her time in Madagascar, Danielle packed up her belongings and moved to Key Largo to begin an internship with the Coral Restoration Foundation. Through CRF, she helped to preserve the genetic bank of endangered Caribbean hard coral species and engage the public through their dive programs.
Danielle is thrilled to begin her next adventure with Rainbow Reef Dive Center and to have the opportunity to ignite a passion for others to protect our aquatic world!
