French Deep is located at the Southeast corner of French Reef. This is a deeper reef site with a depth of 55 feet at the base of the mooring ball. The dive site is a continuation of Woody's Ledge on the landward side and a drop off to 80+ feet on the seaward side.

Since this site is in deeper water and away from the main reef, divers can expect to encounter some larger fish life, including pelagics not normally found in shallower waters. Eagle Rays and even Manta Rays have been sighted out here as well as Loggerhead turtles, Hammerhead and Reef Sharks.

We drift this part of the reef and follow the gentle current which is usually running from SW to NE. This site is great for experienced or advanced divers, and offers a great opportunity for a large animal encounter.
