PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer - Scuba Diving since 2008
Sidemount Diver Instructor
I was born in New York, but I have lived in Atlanta, Georgia most of my life. I started diving when I was eight years old. My family was on vacation in Marco Island, Florida and I told my parents that I wanted to do the Discover Scuba that the hotel offered in their pool. I fell in love with scuba, but there was one problem, I was not old enough to get certified. Therefore, I had to participate in programs such as PADI Seal Team which allows for kids under the age of ten to scuba dive in a pool. On my tenth birthday my parents and I went to our local dive shop to see what it would require to get certified. Two month later I found myself in Key Largo on a Rainbow Reef dive boat doing my Open Water checkout dives. Little did I know what was going come from this. I was a small ten year old kid that was able to convince both of my parents, who did not dive, to let me get certified. It was the best decision of my life. After many trips back to Rainbow Reef I was able to complete my Advanced Open Water, Master Scuba Diver, and many specialties. When I was sixteen, I started working at a dive shop in Atlanta, Georgia. This was a great experience as it introduced me to all of the moving parts that are involved with a dive shop. I found myself waiting again though just like when I was eight. I had to wait until I turned eighteen in order to start my Divemaster course. Ever since I started diving with Rainbow Reef ten years ago I could not wait to join their internship program and complete courses like my Divemaster and IDC. Well that dream has finally come true as I completed my IDC course and became a Master Scuba Diver Trainer. Currently I am also attending The Florida State University working on my bachelor’s degree in finance. GO NOLES!!!
