  PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor - Scuba Diving since 2014

  As a Florida native, with two parents that met delivering sailboats, I grew up captivated by their tales spent at sea. I spent almost every weekend learning to drive and clean my father’s boat (mostly clean, let’s be honest). During my freshman year at the University of Florida – Go Gators! - I signed up for a volunteer trip in Nicaragua where I went on to complete my PADI Open Water Course and work on Little Corn Island’s artificial reef project. After returning from my trip, I had fallen in love with diving and vowed to all of my family and friends I would open my own dive shop one day….Straight out of college however, I settled for going the corporate route taking positions working for The Hershey Company followed by Tesla.

   

  Albeit successful in my roles, the passion was missing. My love for the ocean and it’s natural treasures were always drawing me away from a cubicle. This past year, I quit my Job at Tesla to spend time traveling. After completing my Advanced Open Water certification in Ko Tao, I could not spend enough time in the water. I found myself binging ocean documentaries constantly and that’s when I stumbled upon one called Chasing Coral (highly recommended if you haven’t seen it!). I was astonished to see the rapid rate of Coral Bleaching going on across the planet. It was at that moment I knew I had to become part of this industry. 

   

  I came to Key Largo with that mission in mind and completed my Dive Masters and Open Water Instructor courses with the incredible team here at Rainbow Reef. Getting to show others how incredible the underwater world is and work with a company passionate about preserving the magic of the reef is a dream come true. The people and service at Rainbow Reef is unbeatable and we are stoked to have you come dive with us!
