Britt 'Bri' ( Instructors Team )
PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor - Scuba Diving since 2015
Brittany is from Newport Beach, California. Since an infant, has always been surrounded by the ocean. She has always been in love with the ocean. Her family traveled a lot as her step-dad was a hobbyist surfer and loved chasing the waves. For most of her childhood she was raised and Maui where she fell in love with sea turtles. Unfortunately after some years her family moved back to the mainland.
Brittany went to college at Florida International University and majored in Anthropology and Biology. Although she had always loved the ocean and had an interest in marine life she never got the opportunity to dive. Until her senior year of college Brittany stumbled on SCUBA diving by accident she was looking up elective credits she can take to graduate to get an easy A and noticed FIU offered a AAUS Scientific Diving Course, this included, learning how to work under water under OSHA standards, underwater fieldwork and methods, rescuing skills and taking a trip to the only underwater research facility. She was unfamiliar with these terms but was so enthusiastic she immediately called all over and asked how to sign up. She found out a requirement was to be a Open Water diver course. She took out some money from her student loan and complete her Open Water Certifivation, AAUS Scientific Diver certification, dove Aquarius and fell in love with the world of SCUBA diving. She knew immediately she wanted to be a dive professional and continue learning. She then moved to the Florida Keys shortly after and received her PADI Divemaster in January 2017. On her spare time she enjoys helping with FIU Seagrass lab , Coral Restoration Foundation and other local conservation groups to contribute and she is passionate on educating the public on marine conservation and marine life to better our Ocean.
