North Sand Island is a shallow spur and groove formation offering divers a view of spectacularly colored corals. Large patches of sand are perfect for training.

This end of Sand Island is also where several of the larger aquatic life is found, including Southern Stingrays, Green Moray Eels and Nurse Sharks. The ledges also provide protection for schools of bait fish and Florida Spiny Lobsters.

A nice easy shallow dive, this site rarely experiences any current. At 20 to 25 feet deep this is a great site for beginner or junior divers.
